How to Add a Domain or Subdomain in cPanel
To add a new domain or subdomain to your hosting plan using cPanel, follow these steps:
Login to cPanel
- Go to Login to Client Area:
- Click on Services in the sidebar or top menu.
- Under My Services, click your hosting package.
- On the left sidebar, click Login to cPanel.
To Add a Domain
- Inside cPanel, go to Domains or search for Addon Domains.
- Click Create a New Domain.
- Manually enter the domain name you want to add (e.g.,
example.com
). You must type the full domain name. - Choose whether to create a new directory or use an existing one for the document root.
- Click Submit or Create.
To Add a Subdomain
- Inside cPanel, search for and click Subdomains.
- Enter the subdomain you want (e.g.,
blog
if you wantblog.example.com
). - Manually enter the domain it should be attached to.
- Choose the document root (the folder where its files will go).
- Click Create.
